Matt captained the 1st XI in 2008. An attacking opening batsman and a specialist slip fielder, Matt top scored for the 1st XI last season with 389 runs including a century against Fawley. He started his career at
Flamingo before moving to Havent where he played Southern League for several years, before rejoining Flamingo. Matt took a brilliant catch against St Cross two seasons ago, he launched himself into the air proving he has still got it at his age.

Ash “The Fryer” Ames came through the colts set up at Flamingo through to the senior sides. Ash hit 133 runs in 2008, he hit 37 in the opening game of the season. The fryer took 3 wickets for the 1st XI. In the 2008 Lashings game Ash took the wicket of Indian Dinesh Mongia.

Jason has played for Flamingo for many years. He was a member of the Flamingo winning Tichbourne Trophy side in 2000. Jason failed to appear in 2008, He is known for Captaining Southampton Football Club for over a decade in the Premiership. He hit a century and took a five wicket haul in the same game at Hambledon in the Southern League.
